I've been experiencing a weird bug while trying to play Way of the Samurai 3. I can only assume they're related to the fact that I'm using a
third-party controller. Basically, the analog sticks are only recognized as being tilted when their position is changed. This obviously makes movement in the
game difficult and renders the game unplayable. I press the analog stick to move forward and the character moves for an instant and then halts completely as if
I weren't holding anything down.
I've tried this with two different controllers (Pelican AfterGlow Pro controller and Logitech Dual Action), both of which work in other PS3 games and in the PS3 menu, and each works identically (read: poorly) within the game.
Is there anything I can do to fix this, or, at the very least, do I have any comfort in knowing that there is an effort to fix the bug and that a patch will be released?
I'm a fan of the earlier titles in the Way of the Samurai series, but if I cannot play the game due to circumstances beyond my control, all I foresee is frustration.
