If you've got the space on your mem stick duo, I'm sure 324MB is better than lugging around a UMD.

Armored Core 3 Portable made it to the Playstation Network Store. ^_^

well, its not even available on UMD. and yeah, I'm gonna get it tomorrow.
since from software put it there, I don't think it'll have agetec's localization, which kinda sucks.

Interesting!
Oops - looks like the Armored Core 3 Portable UMD is in Japan only. I didn't think From Software did anything on a local US level. I guess if the game is English, it wouldn't matter. ...that being said, I think I might have discovered a holdup. _____________________ I did some research, and it looks like the Agetec games on the PSN weren't released on the store by Agetec. It looks like: Bowling by Tamsoft King of Fighters 99 by SNK R-Type Delta by Irem ...I don't think Agetec is even involved with the Playstation Network. King of Fighters 99 has agetec's logo on startup (and a digital copy of agetec's manual), so I do believe that would mean they released it on PSN. I
bought it just to find out about that. I think PSN just has this thing about only listing the developer, not the publisher for games.
Armored Core 3 Portable is great, by the way. controls take some getting used to. the english script and acting seem to be taken right from the PS2 game, so it's perfect. great in-game manual as well. Most Armored Core games actually are in english in japan. From Software likes to make their games import friendly, I guess. Demon's Souls got an english release in asia as well, for instance.

I have R Type Delta, and the game boots up with the Agetec logo, and it has the agetec manual as well.
...but I really wonder how much the publisher is actually involved, and if the developer is actually the "key" to stuff getting released on the Playstation Network Store. I wish I could find more information on that whole process. If the developer is the key, things might look grim for King's Field coming to the US - From's already had them on the Japanese Playstation Store since 2007. Oh well, I've already bought them, and been playing them via my Japanese account. On the other hand, things might look good for Armored Core being localized to the US PSN. ...but I don't really think that's even up to Agetec. I was aware of Demon's Souls being in English, but I had no idea the Japanese PSOne Armored Core's were. I thought English games were only a recent approach by From. ....regardless the King's Field series must be an exception. Even with From Software's Additional I and II's release in 2006, the only English in those games are the words "King's Field" "Additional I (or II)", "Now Loading...", HP, MP and numbers. That's it. I'll have to check out AC3Portable.... ...though I was holding out some mem stick duo space for when Mega Man Maverick Hunter X comes to the store. (someday) This decision is a pretty high class problem. ^_^ What will happen is MMMHX will ONLY appear after I fill my 16GB stick up. >_< Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage.

Maverick Hunter X is coming today, and Mega Man Powered Up is coming next week.
Well, they're supposed to, anyways. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/07/capcom-dates-promised-psp-umd-legacy-titles/

You know, I wonder if there's any way to manually assign Select and Start? I'm thinking not, but looking at the PSP Go! that would seem to make sense
for aiming up and down. The thing that bothers me about the default controls is the moving of the left arm attack from Circle to the directional pad. Otherwise
I'd be okay with it. Just one more button on the right side and it'd be fine. If only there were L2/R2 buttons. Ah well. Not like I'm getting a PSP
anytime soon.

Random question from someone who doesn't own a PS3, and has never so much as touched a PSP: When you download PSP games from the PSN, are they actually
playable on the PS3? Or is it only for transfering them to the PSP?

Hot Dog! It would be great to play Mega Man Maverick Hunter X today!
*puts money in PSN wallet* *waits* ...I don't see it yet, but its pretty common for updates not to show up until later in the day for me. (must be my time zone) Zerosky, from my understanding, (even though I've never touched a PS3) with the one account there are games that are for the PSP only, the PS3 only, and games for both the PSP and PS3. (like all the PSOne classics are for both systems) I don't know about PSP games, but as far as the PSOne on PSP, I really like the customization that can go into playing those games. For first person games like Shadow Tower and King's Field (which I got from the JP PSN) I can set up the d-pad to move, and the joy-nub to look around. Works well. Plays well. I dont think today's update has hit yet.
PSP games, even though they can be downloaded on the PS3, are not playable on the PS3. you can just use the PS3 as somewhere to put games when you dont have them on your PSP, or of course, download the games through the PS3's faster connection speed. I dont think AC3 Portable would even be playable on the Go with the default controls. you press down to use left arm weapon. with the analog stick being right under the d-pad on the old PSPs, its really easy to do. for the Go, you'd actually have to stop moving to use your sword, because you'd have to reach over to the left. but you can customize controls, so I'm sure you could find something that would work.

Ah, too bad... I don't see myself ever owning a PSP, but I might get a PS3 sometime eventually, and I've always been curious about Maverick Hunter X. I
like shiny remakes of games I already like, heh.

Hmm... I am intrigued. Still, I don't really see myself getting one unless they get really cheap. As much as I like my DS, I hardly ever use the thing just
because I'm not in positions to need portable gaming very often. And when I'm at home, I'm either playing stuff online, or trying to get to the
stack of PC and 360 single player stuff I still haven't finished or even started on. So I'd probably hardly ever use a PSP. Still, Maverick Hunter X,
Armored Core 3, and Gran Turismo would all be nice to have if I did get one.

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X is pretty awesome! I knew it was a remake of the original X, but I didn't think it would be this good!
Its like the original X redone ala Megaman X8, with Alia and everything! I'm really glad they moved all the capsules. My eyebrow went up when I went to Chill Penguin's stage and the dash boots weren't there. As much as its tempting to find the locations of these online, I'll resist and find them myself. ....I also like the option where you can play as Vile! THAT IS SO SWEET!! I wasn't originally going to buy Powered Up, but with all the stinking options it has - and me hearting all Mega Man games, I'd be an idiot not to. ooh... ouch. On the subject of portable Armored Core, I am further intrigued: http://www.armoredcore.net/acsl/ Not that I can read much of that, but yay for Silent Line Portable. I was wondering if they'd do that after releasing AC3. Interestingly enough, there's mention of Last Raven here as well (although no Nexus, curiously enough): http://www.fromsoftware.jp/portable/ Nice to see PS2-era Armored Core still around in some form. EDIT: I didn't realize their awesome little promo video for AC3 Portable already mentioned Silent Line briefly, haha...
