Hey, I was going cross-eyed from looking at too much Kanji. I had to entertain myself somehow.

Well, with Marylin sitting outside in a rocking chair, chilling out in either Quist or Ralugo, and one of Thedek's wall decorations spouting fun.....
....was this a pre-release screenshot of KFIII(JP) / KFII (US) ? Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage.

I am!
^_^ Since you disclosed the real answer to me via e-mail after I made that last post, I won't spoil the true answer for the potential "Royal High Nerds" left on the board. Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage.

I'll give people a hint: Marilyn there asks you to find her daughters lost golden jockstrap so she can use it to resuscitate Gooyra who is the dark half of
Vallad the Impaler . . .well, I'm still working on that translation so I might be a bit off. . .

AAHAHAHAHA!!! ^_^ YES!
I do believe "jockstrap" is one word I thought I'd never see in a King's Field discussion.... I can scratch that off my list now. I've got a few left.... not many. Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage.

Drum roll . . . . . . .
It's a screenshot from a little know King's Field promotional mini-game called King's Field III Pilot Style. It takes place shortly before the events in KF2 (US) and you play as Silviera. Marilyn there is actually looking for her son who wears a gold ring; he is a member of the garrison. |

Hmmm, I was trying to do a quick translation of Pilot Style because it's pretty short, but it appears that it has some sort of checksum verification on the
NPC dialogue to prevent tampering. It looks like KF2(US) has the same thing.
I found what I think is the 4byte hash code, but unless I figure out the algorithm used to generate it, a full translation is impossible. Oh, well . . . the 8 people in the know universe who are lucky enough to actually own a copy of Pilot Style will just have suffer through playing it in Japanese :P Someone at Agetec should talk From into releasing Pilot Style as a free download for the PSP/PS3 to celebrate some anniversary of the KF series
