We are in Ann Arbor, MI. The rules are: Single-elimination matches, each match is best of three Each competitor may register one AC design, and one Home Map Each of the first two rounds of each match will be on a competitor's Home Map. The order of maps will be determined at random. The final match will be best of five. Restricted Maps: You may not select Arena, Space Arena, Military District, or Cyberspace as your Home Map. Banned Parts: Booster: B83TP Inside: All ECM parts Hands: H3, HP, ROC2, ROC4 There will also be pickup matches and a prize raffle throughout the day. Proceeds wil go towards the procurement of a next-gen console system (360 or PS3) for Digital Ops - and thus towards the hosting of future AC4 and ACfA tournaments. Turnout will provide the basis for future Armored Core tournaments. The cost for the 1v1 tournament will likely be 10 or 15 dollars, dependant on attendance. I suck at Last Raven, but this may be fun. I miss the days I used to go to tournaments. Then again, I miss the game before the Nexus heat mechanics. I was never able to recover after that. I hate Yuku! I had a response all typed out and it had logged me out and I lost it all when I tried to post. Grrrrrrrr. I was going to say that we'll have to see whether I'll make it or not. I was originally going to be in northern Michigan for all of Labor Day Weekend, so this will change my plans. I have yet to hear back from anyone besides my brother, and he's even more out of practice. I'm going to try and get back in the grove of things, but I never really was very good at LR to begin with. I also have to check to see if I have any banned parts on my designs because I know at least one has the CR-WH01HP as a hanger and another might have the CR-B83TP. At least the banned parts list is reasonable. I've seen some ridiculous ban lists and typically hate part bans in general. Lastly, I need to have some things clarified. From the Digital Ops webpage, it looks like the location is roughly near where the Wizzywig store used to be before they moved. If so, I'm pretty familiar with that area and there's nearby $2 parking on Washington just around the block. Also, the website lists this runs from 2PM to 8PM. Is this all correct? University). We are two or three stores down from the Michigan Theater, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is to the immediate left of our door. We are in a basement location, so there is not a large storefront, only a door with a sign over it. Though there will likely be a pickup match or two beforehand, the tournament is scheduled be starting at 2pm. There will be a prize raffle going on throughout the day. As far as the ban list goes... the B83TP was banned because it is hands-down the best Booster part, and without banning it there would be no, or nearly no, design variety for that slot. The hand weapons were largely banned due to their lethality as hanger parts combined with the inability of Restrictions files (which are available for copying to your memory card at the store) to discriminate between Hanger and Hand slots. -Volkai "Don't take life too seriously, you can't get out of it alive." -Bugs Bunny

Oddly enough, only one design made use of that booster and it was a heavy with the Pegasus to make it actually move and only one had the HP as a hanger part. The unfortunate part is that I suck badly with all of them, so deciding on one is difficult. I really don't feel tournament worthy, but I want to go. I guess I'll just have to suck it up and get owned. -MechaBouncer out

Volkai was the one putting it on. My brother and I were the only ones who showed up. Considering we train against each other, we tend to prefer playing against other people when we can. We can only go so far playing each other, but it's still fun. Since we both have PS3s, I'm trying to encourage him to buy ACFA so that we can play each other online sometime. Although I still haven't made it through my first pass of the game, so it's not like I'm that much further ahead than him. -MechaBouncer out
